An innovative, practical tool for observers of all experience levels, the interstellarum Deep Sky Atlas heralds a new era of celestial cartography. Objects are shown according to their actual visibility under a moderately dark sky, in the following four classes:

·         Visible in 4-inch telescopes

·         Visible in 8-inch telescopes

·         Visible in 12-inch telescopes

·         Not visible in 12-inch telescopes

Within each visibility class, objects are labeled in different font sizes and weights with graduated shades and colors for the symbols, so the bolder the label or the darker the symbol, the easier it is to see the object. With one quick glance at the map, it is clear which objects can be seen in a particular telescope.

The Deep Sky Atlas contains generously sized maps that run to the edge of each page, and it is optimized for use under red light, making it ideal for nighttime observation.

Features:

       Scale 1.5 cm per degree

Faint stars down to magnitude 9.5 (over 200,000 plotted)

Each map covers 2h in R.A. and 15° in Decl. (with exceptions in polar regions)

Contains all Abell planetaries, Hickson compact groups, Arp galaxies, Barnard dark nebulae, Palomar globulars, and many more.

Includes a selection of Abell galaxy clusters, Shakhbazian groups, and Klemola groups.

Finally, an atlas for deep-sky observers, developed by deep-sky observers—once you’ve seen it, there’s no going back!
